SnapMatch is built so every Buy tap can earn a commission without changing the shopper experience. This page explains the MVP path and where a real network tag plugs in.
How it works today
- Shoppers search by photo or text and tap Buy on a match.
- The app routes through
/r/[productId]to log the click. - We redirect to the merchant URL with tracking params via
wrapAffiliateUrl.
Stub affiliate tag
Amazon-style outbound links currently use the placeholder tag:

Set AFFILIATE_TAG in the environment when you join Amazon Associates (or another network). Non-Amazon stores get generic ref / sm_pid params for now.
Creator / partner roadmap
- Same API surface for phone + PC and a future Expo client.
- Per-creator tags and dashboards once a network account is live.
- Shareable result links that preserve attribution on Buy.
